More efforts needed for entrepreneurship in Europe
The European Parliament adopted a report urging Member States to make greater efforts to foster entrepreneurship in Europe. The report calls for Member States to speed up the implementation of the European Charter for Small Enterprises, which was adopted by the European Council in June 2000. The report also wants Member States to make more efforts in the areas of education policy; rules and regulations; cost and time involved in establishing a new business; provision of risk capital and start up finance; innovation and technology transfer; and tax relief.
