About 200 people attended the Showcase last Friday.  The market place where the 20 or so particpating schools, community groups and stakeholders exhibited was a great success.  Delegates were able to see presentations by pupils and adults, pick up the summary project evaluation and papers relating to enterprise, view videos and training materials and buy products from the many mini enterprises.

The workshops gave delegates a further insight into the lessons arising from the project.

The evaluations we recieved have been positive - particularly about the format of the event and the tours of the football ground.  These tours also gave delegates a chance to see the trophy cabinets - which include one of the 2 European Champions cups that Forest have won.  There is a story about the other one - if you are curious to know the story please contact the Lifelong Learning Team!

The event was opened by County Councillor Chris Winterton who has been a great champion for enterprise in Nottinghamshire.  We were also pleased that Paul Hart, the manager of Nottingham Forest FC, was able to find time in a busy schedule to attend and speak to us about enterprise in relation to his work as a football club manager.

The activity in this project is now nearly completed - the final activity will be a visit to northern Sweden in February 04 by pupils from 4 of the participating schools.  But the enterprise agenda in Nottinghamshire is now thriving and much is going on - we will tell you more news about this in other news items.
